Questions, answered
Is mouth taping safe?
Only use mouth tape when nasal breathing feels clear. Do not use while congested, unwell, after drinking, or if you suspect sleep apnoea. Remove slowly and stop using it if irritation occurs.
Should I use this with nasal strips?
Ideally, yes. Open the nose first, the strip does that, and the tape helps keep the mouth from taking over. Tape only makes sense when air has somewhere else to go.
Classic or Collagen?
Classic is the firmer cotton tape with the steadier seal. Collagen is softer, satin-smooth nylon. Pick Classic if you want a firm, secure hold, Collagen if firm tape feels like too much.
Will it hurt coming off?
No. Peel it slowly from one corner in the morning and it lifts cleanly. Skip lip balm at night so the adhesive grips the skin, not the balm.
Do I cover my whole mouth?
No, and please don't. A small centre seal across closed lips is the whole idea. It keeps the lips resting together while leaving the corners free.
What if I have facial hair?
It still works, the seal sits on the lips rather than the surrounding skin. Press the centre down firmly and remove slowly. If the adhesive pulls on stubble, trim the very edge of the lip line.
What exactly is it made of?
95% cotton and 5% spandex with a secure adhesive. Latex-free, fragrance-free, non-woven, hypoallergenic, single-use, 30 pieces per pack. As with any adhesive, very sensitive skin can still react, so patch test first and stop use if irritation occurs.

“Mouth tape on its own felt weird until I paired it with a strip. Now I wake up without the desert mouth and my jaw isn't hanging open in photos my partner takes for evidence.”
